Well, this was annoying

OMG. Never thought we’d use this term in an actual blog post. But the past few days have been hard. Due du technical issues we had to move to another hosting provider and it turned out, that “moving” wasn’t enough. Instead, we had to build everything new.

NEW HOSTING, NEW SHOP PROVIDER, NEW WEBSITE

First, we moved from GoDaddy to Bluehost because of GoDaddy’s caching conditions which were causing troubles with WooCommerce, our shop system. Then we decided to rename our brand and went from “Best Procreate Brushes” to “The Brush Makers”. (We simply don’t want to risk difficulties with Procreate because we took their name as part of ours.) Then we realized (okay, it was more an acceptance) that WooCommerce wasn’t the best choice for downloadable products like our brushes. Since lots of our customers were having a hard time downloading our products from Dropbox – without further ado we decided to move to an external shop-system. So we moved from WooCommerce to Selz.

…and had to create each product listing again. After we’d completed our WordPress installation we tried to implement the products into WordPress and noticed that our current theme “Divi” (which we still love, by the way), was causing troubles. Some important Plugins wouldn’t work out with the theme or the builder. Alright. So we moved from Divi to Elementor.

5 DAYS LATER THAN PLANNED

Long story short: We were offline for 5 days. But, after all, we finished our moving marathon. 15 minutes ago. Of course, we’re not done yet. We have to work on the design, the wording, the product descriptions and much more. But our shop is working and you can purchase our brushes again. Hooray!

WE’RE SORRY AND WE’D LIKE TO OFFER YOU A DISCOUNT

Due to this process, our website was down for a couple of days. Longer than we thought. We’d like to apologize for that and as a subscriber, you get a little gift from us within the next few days. Make sure that you’re on our list.

At this time we don’t know how we proceed with previous purchases. So, if you need access to your already purchased files, please send us an email and we’ll generate a download link for you.
